
Jane MacAdam, FCPA, CA
Former Auditor General of Prince Edward Island
Jane retired from her position as Auditor General in May 2020. Her appointment as Auditor General of Prince Edward Island was unanimously approved by the members of the Legislative Assembly in March 2013. Serving Islanders, she was responsible for leading independent audits and examinations that provide objective information, advice and assurance to the Legislative Assembly.
Jane’s professional career with the Office of the Auditor General spanned four decades. She held senior positions with the Office reporting directly to previous auditors general for over 25 years.
Jane has represented the Office in the work of the Canadian Council of Legislative Auditors. She was a member of the Long-Range Strategic Planning Committee of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and has also been active in a number of not-for-profit and community-based organizations.
Jane obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Prince Edward Island and received her CA designation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Prince Edward Island in 1981. She was awarded a Fellow Designation from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Prince Edward Island in December 2018.
