Aishath Afna Abdhulla

Maldives

I received a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Accounting and Finance from Taylor’s University of Malaysia, and I am currently pursuing the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) qualification. I completed the International Training Programme on Performance Audit offered by Indian Technical and Economic Co-Operation (ITEC) in 2024. I commenced working at the Auditor General’s Office of Maldives in 2022 and currently work as a Senior Auditor in the Performance Audit Department. I initially began my career in the audit office conducting financial and compliance audits of various public sector entities.

My goals for the Fellowship

Through participation in the Fellowship program, I would like to improve my knowledge and skills in performance auditing while also developing my leadership capabilities. I look forward to gaining practical experience and guidance from experienced Canadian auditors, which will help me deliver high-quality and impactful audit reports.

The impact I hope to make as a graduate Fellow

After completing my Fellowship, my goal is to apply the knowledge and expertise I gain through this program to provide a meaningful contribution through my work. Also, I hope to share the insights gained with my colleagues to help strengthen capacity within my SAI.
