Introduction to Environmental Auditing in the Public Sector is a self-paced online course developed by the Working Group on Environmental Auditing of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI). The National Audit Office of Estonia led the development of the course, in collaboration with other supreme audit institutions and the University of Tartu.

The course explores environmental management principles, the concept of sustainable development, and common governance tools used in environmental management, and aims to put all this into a practical environmental auditing context.

It is being offered September 25 – October 22, 2023, in English, free of charge. It consists of reading, video lectures, exercises, case studies, and tests, and requires 26 hours of work.
