In the Fellowships, auditors complete nine-month placements at a legislative audit office in Canada (federal or provincial). In the Leaders Programs, participants from supreme audit institutions (SAIs) or oversight committees complete study missions to Canada and develop strategic projects. Both components exemplify the principal feature of the international program: international participants and our Canadian partners working closely together.
Graduates of the Fellowships and Leaders Programs play central roles in increasing the effectiveness of their SAIs’ and oversight committees’ practices. Graduate Fellows are expected to become leaders in their SAIs’ performance audit departments, and Leaders Program participants are expected to spearhead the implementation of institutional-level changes that support sustainable improvement.
