Hugues-Albert (H-A) Sully

Hugues-Albert (H-A) is an audit consultant with nearly two decades of work experience with public sector organizations.

From 2021 to 2023, H-A worked at CAAF as a senior officer responsible for professional development. In this capacity, H-A developed and delivered training courses to Canadian and international public sector auditors on several topics, including audit fundamentals, root cause analysis, engaging the auditee, managing audit projects, and evidence collection and analysis.

Prior to working at CAAF, H-A worked as a Manager with the Risk Advisory Services at BDO Canada where he performed audit and risk assessment engagements for a wide range of public sector clients, including the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission, Canadian Museum of History, Canada Border Services Agency, and Environment and Climate Change Canada.

H-A also worked as an audit team lead and manager in several Canadian public institutions, such as the Office of the Auditor General, Department of Public Safety, and Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation.

H-A plays an active role in the audit community. He has been serving as a Board Member for the Ottawa Chapter of the IIA, where he successively held the positions of Chair of Certification, Co-Chair of Programs, and currently acts as Vice-President.

H-A is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and Project Management Professional (PMP). He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Laval University in Quebec City, as well as a Master’s Degree in Public Administration (MPA) from l'École nationale d'administration publique (ÉNAP) in Montreal.

Hugues-Albert is fluent in French and English and offer his services in both official languages.
