Yves Denis
Yves has been Auditor General of the City of Sherbrooke since June 2022. From 2015 to 2022, he was Auditor General of the City of Lévis. In this capacity, he is responsible for the financial, compliance and performance audit of the City and the organizations within its reporting entity.
Prior to his appointment as municipal Auditor General, Yves spent most of his career as a performance audit professional with the Office of the Auditor General of Quebec (VGQ).
First in the field of information technology management for eight years, then as a professional in the Direction des services-conseils en optimisation des ressources. Several projects deserve to be highlighted: IT governance in the healthcare sector, IT management at the Ministry of Transport, IT systems development at the Ministry of Revenue, revision of the methodological framework for performance auditing at the Auditor General of Quebec, post audit reviews of performance audit files in Quebec and elsewhere in Canada. For several years now, he has been contributing to various Foundation projects, from training to the design of a practical guide to efficiency auditing. He received his Chartered Accountant designation in 1996.
