We’re delighted to welcome these eight auditors to Canada. As participants in the CAAF Fellowships, they are here to develop the skills, knowledge, and experience needed to become leaders in their offices’ performance audit departments. This month, the Fellows joined their Canadian host offices—the Offices of the Auditors General (OAGs) of Canada, Manitoba, Quebec, and Toronto—where they will be working alongside Canadian auditors until December. They will contribute to audit teams, learn from these offices’ practices, and develop an audit plan or special project with guidance from Canadian mentors. The Fellows will then implement their project in their own office when they return home. The Fellowships began in May with a virtual component that the Fellows completed from their countries. The Fellows then arrived in Ottawa in late July for orientation sessions and several courses with CAAF. They also visited the OAGs of Ontario, Quebec, and Toronto and received a presentation by the OAG of Canada, to begin their learning about Canadian audit practices.
We would like to thank everyone at the host offices for welcoming the Fellows, and we wish the Fellows an excellent stay in Canada! Meet the FellowsThe Fellowships are a key part of our international program, in which CAAF and our Canadian partners are helping to advance performance auditing in Guyana, Rwanda, Senegal, and Vietnam. This program is undertaken with the financial support of the Government of Canada provided through Global Affairs Canada. The participation of the Fellow from the Board of Audit and Inspection of Korea is funded by that office. Learn about CAAF’s international program |
