Congratulations to the 2024 Graduate Fellows!

This week we celebrated the graduation of the 2024 CAAF international Fellows. These eight auditors have completed their Fellowships, which included placements with Canadian audit offices, a series of professional development courses, and developing an audit plan or special project that they will lead in their country. CAAF and many program partners came together for a graduation ceremony in Ottawa, on December 10. This was an opportunity to celebrate the Fellows, hear about their experiences, and wish them farewell. At the event, each Fellow presented his or her audit plan or project, and mentors from their Canadian host offices spoke about their experiences working with the Fellows. As well, we were delighted to have several partners speak about the Fellowship program, including Karen Hogan, Auditor General of Canada; Tyson Shtykalo, Auditor General of Manitoba; Tara Anderson, Auditor General of the City of Toronto; and Sacha Levasseur‑Rivard, Director, Economic Growth Division, Global Affairs Canada. The Fellows are now returning home, where they will apply what they have learned, share new knowledge with their colleagues, and each carry out their planned audit or project. We are excited to see the impacts they will make.
Thank you to the program partners On behalf of CAAF and the Fellows, thank you to everyone who made this year’s Fellowships possible, especially the staff of the four offices who hosted the Fellows’ placements. The Fellowships are a key part of our international program, in which CAAF and our Canadian partners are helping to advance performance auditing in Guyana, Rwanda, Senegal, and Vietnam. This program is undertaken with the financial support of the Government of Canada provided through Global Affairs Canada. The participation of the Fellow from the Board of Audit and Inspection of Korea is funded by that office. |
