We are pleased to welcome two new organizational members to CCAF.

These two organizations join many other CCAF member organizations in supporting the achievement of CCAF's mission: To promote and strengthen public sector performance audit, oversight and accountability in Canada and abroad through research, education and knowledge sharing.

CCAF Director Michel Samson Appointed Auditor General for the City of Québec

Michel SamsonMichel Samson has been appointed Auditor General of the City of Québec. He joined his new office on December 17th and will officially assume the role effective January 1, 2016, following a long and fruitful career with the Office of the Auditor General of Québec.

M. Samson began his career with OAG Québec in 1990, becoming assistant auditor general in January 2008. He more recently served as Acting Auditor General from January 2011 to March 2015. Since 2013 he has also served with distinction on CCAF's Board of Directors, including as Chair of its International Capacity Building Committee.

François GagnonM. Samson succeeds François Gagnon as Auditor General of the City of Québec. M. Gagnon has collaborated with CCAF in a number of areas in recent years, including participating in an international mission to Cameroon, as well as participating in the first Pan-Canadian Municipal Audit Forum.

CCAF congratulates M. Samson on his recent appointment, and wishes M. Gagnon all the best in his future endeavours.
