New Chair Appointed and Directors Re-elected

We are pleased to announce that James M. Sylph was appointed Chair of CCAF's Board of Directors following the Annual General Meeting of Members held on September 20^th.

Mr. Sylph, who has served on the Board since 2013, and as Vice-Chair for the past year, brings significant knowledge and many years of experience in auditing and accounting, recently through his work with the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC). He is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors and has been a long time member of CCAF. During his time on the CCAF Board, Mr. Sylph most recently served as Chair of the Governance Committee, and will no doubt continue to demonstrate thoughtfulness and diligence in the role of Chair of the Board.

A Special Thank You to Outgoing Chair – Brian Bost

On behalf of the CCAF Board and management, Mr. Sylph extended appreciation to Brian Bost, in acknowledgement of his dedication and support to the organization as Chair over the past three years. His tenure in the position saw the organization achieve a number of important milestones, most notably the development of the current strategic plan, and CCAF's transition under the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act. Mr. Bost will continue to serve as a member of the Board.
