PAC/Oversight Resources

CCAF’s oversight program supports oversight committee members and their support staff. We provide research, material and professional development workshops to oversight committees both in Canada and abroad.

Sherazade is a senior finance and audit professional with over 16 years’ international experience in public and private sector audit (internal, external, financial, compliance, and special purpose), financial reporting and accounting, corporate governance, risk management, public sector financial management, budgeting and project implementation.

As the Director, International Programs, she is responsible for overseeing the fellowship program, providing training for supreme audit institutions (SAIs), contributing to the development of CAAF’s courses, research and methodology, and collaborating with stakeholders. Since joining the CAAF in May 2020 as the Methodology and Training Program Officer, she has helped set up CAAF’s virtual training platform, developed and delivered CAAF’s training courses, and contributed to CAAF’s research products.

She has worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Pakistan for nine years and Ernst & Young, Bahrain for two years, providing external audit, internal audit and financial advisory services. She spent over four years as a Financial Management Specialist at the Asian Development Bank (ADB), where she was responsible for the financial due diligence for ADB’s sovereign projects in South Asia across the energy, water, health, education, and transport sectors. She has developed and led numerous training workshops for SAIs, other government counterparts across South Asia, and clients. She also worked as a Compliance Manager for Plan Canada, responsible for the budgetary and compliance aspects of projects centered on advancing children’s rights and equality for girls in Africa and Asia.

Sherazade holds an MSc. in Professional Accountancy from the University of London and is a fellow member of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan as well as the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, UK. She is a member of CPA Ontario and a Certified Internal Auditor from the Institute of Internal Auditors, U.S.
