Congratulations to 2014-15 Fellows!

CCAF and our international program partners recently celebrated the graduation of its 2014-15 Fellows. The ceremony, held in Ottawa on May 14, was an opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of the four Fellows:

  • Evrad Prudy Lele Tiam – Cameroon
  • Minata Diabor – Ghana
  • Andrew Eligi Kellei – Tanzania
  • Ndyanao Gershom Mgweno – Tanzania

All four Fellows served a nine-month placement with the Office of the Auditor General (OAG) of Canada. Each of the Fellows joined an audit team at the OAG where they gained on-the-job experience and learned about performance auditing. They also participated in a number of courses and workshops throughout the year and visited provincial and municipal audit offices elsewhere in Canada.

A key part of the Fellowship program also sees each Fellow, working with mentors at the OAG and CCAF, develop a plan for a performance audit to be conducted by their office upon their return home. You can read more about the Fellows and their performance audit plans in the 2014-15 Fellows Biography Booklet, which you can download here.

CCAF thanks its international partners in Canada and abroad for the important contributions they provide that make the ILOP a success!

The Fellowship is one component of the International Legislative Oversight Program (ILOP). Funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD), the ILOP supports capacity building for Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) and parliamentary oversight committees in Cameroon, Ghana, Tanzania and Vietnam. You can read more about the Program under the International section of the CCAF website.
