Simon Lauzon
Simon Lauzon has over 30 years of professional experience in public policy analysis, performance audit, and program evaluation. He has also gained extensive expertise in public administration management, particularly in results-based management and program budgeting.
He worked for 16 years with the Auditor General of Quebec (AGQ), in Quebec City and Montreal, holding various positions including Acting Director of the Performance Audit Advisory Services team. He was involved in numerous performance audits and special examinations.
Previously, Simon worked for 17 years as a public policy analyst in the Ministries of Employment and Income Security, Finance, and International Relations. Before entering the public sector, he worked as a teaching assistant at HEC Montreal for a year.
Currently, he works as a consultant for various organizations, including the Canadian Audit and Accountability Foundation (CAAF). He also collaborates with the École nationale d'administration publique du Québec (ÉNAP) as a guest lecturer on program evaluation and results-based management, primarily with international students. In this capacity, he has been invited to lecture at the Courts of Accounts in Morocco and Benin. Simon holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a Master's degree in Applied Economics from HEC Montreal.
